Warm Weather to Return

Forecast calls for heat wave to return this weekend.

Rain today. Heat wave tomorrow.

That's the wild summer weather pattern the East Bay will experience over the next few days.

The region received an unusual late June rainstorm on Tuesday. As of 6 p.m., it had rained dumped more than a half-inch of rain on most locations.

Mount Diablo recorded .83 inches. Castro Valley got .95 inches. Dublin and San Ramon reported .60 inches. Livermore came in with .74 inches.

Wednesday is expected to be a transition day with a chance of thunderstorms but also some clearing of the skies.

Thursday's forecast calls for sunny skies with temperatures in the low 80s inland.

Friday is expected to be even warmer with temperatures near 90 under sunny skies.

The temperature will bump up again on Saturday, reaching into the mid-90s.

Sunday and Monday are expected to be much the same with warm temperatures and sunny skies.
