Doing this poll, the way you have it set up, is too slow and cumbersome. Why don't you just list the names?

Thomas Coyne Winery is the best. Read about the winery here. http://thomascoynewinery.com Better yet come out and visit and bring a picnic for the best view of the Livermore Valley.

No General Contractor category?

It seems to me that this is not working. How many votes were cast?

I would have to agree with Trevor that this set up seems rather cumbersome. It does seem like the poll could have been set up a little more user friendly. Some of the categories seem unusual . . . . how would one ever consider "In Between Stitches" a "craft" store? It's a [excellent] quilt shop with related items that customers may have an interest, but I would never see it in the same category as Richards or Joann's --- that's not fair to any of the nominees. Also, I would have recommended "Coffee House" rather than "Coffee Shop" . . . "Coffee Shop" sounds more like Mike's Cafe than Peet's or Starbucks.

I would harbor a guess, that friends nominate a friend's business. Some of these, are virtually unknown. The "best of" in Pleasanton has never really been fair, because businesses actively solicit votes in many ways, such as giving customers voting slips with their receipts. Either find a fair way or just do not do it. It is not adding readers, if that is what you expect.

There isn't even enough votes on most of these categories to declare an accurate winner. It's kind of a joke.
