Livermore Road Closures for Amgen Tour of California
The race will be rolling through town this weekend. Here is what you need to know about road closures starting on Friday.
Information from the City of Livermore--
Livermore is proud to host another stage of the Amgen Tour of California on Saturday, May 18th! The race will begin at 11:35 am at 3rd and K near Carnegie Park.
The downtown street closures are illustrated on the Amgen Street Closure maps (to view maps, click here). A small section of J and K Streets and Second and Third Streets close on Friday, May 17th at 1:00pm. More downtown closures begin Saturday morning, May 18th, and intermittant rolling closures occur on Livermore Avenue. Efforts have been made to keep street closures to a minimum.
Livermore, as a Stage 7 host, benefits from the start celebration between 10:00 am and noon, the pass-through excitement along Livermore Avenue around 2:00 pm, and the “finish” festival fun 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Come meet the riders and see the team buses before the race, follow the race on the big-screen TVs, enjoy lunch downtown, and have a fun time – no matter what your age or cycling abilities!
