How Many Foreclosure Homes Are In Livermore?

And, how much are they selling for?

The number of foreclosure homes in Livermore is down 72 percent over last year, and they're selling for an average of $50,000 less than non-foreclosure houses.

That's according to a report released Thursday from Realty Trac, which shows 244 homes in some sort of foreclosure in Livermore with 37 of those houses for sale.

The median sale price for foreclosure homes was $405,000 in April. That was 10 percent higher than April 2012.

The median sale price for non-foreclosure houses was $510,000, up 2 percent from a year before.

In May, the number of properties that have received a foreclosure filing in Livermore was 23 percent lower than in April and down 72 percent from May 2012.

Overall, homes sales in Livermore in April were up 6 percent from the previous month and up 38 percent from the year before.

The figures were part of a national report released by Realty Trac that showed there are 712,000 foreclosure homes in the United States. Of those, 167,000 have been vacated by their owners.
