Here's your roundup of Patch's picks for weekend fun in the Tri-Valley

Do your big weekend plans consist of rental movies and pizza? Reward yourself after a hard week of work by doing something that's a little more fun. Patch can help you transition from work week to weekend with our top five Tri-Valley picks.

You don’t have to cross a bridge for your weekend entertainment. From a Tom Petty tribute band in Pleasanton to Earth Day wine festivities at Livermore's Wente Vineyards, we have you covered.

1. Petty Theft
Where/When: Friday at 9 p.m. at Main Street Brewery in Pleasanton
Why Go: Start your weekend off right with cold beer and cool music when Petty Theft plays two sets of the best classic songs from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. You must be 21 or older to attend this show.
Price: No cover charge. Drink and food prices vary.

Where/When:  Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Village Theatre in Danville
Why Go: Catch the opening of The Foreigner this weekend when the Role Players perform the funny farce about a pathologically shy man who fends off unwanted conversation by pretending not to understand English. Read more about the play

Where/When: Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton
Why Go: This may be more of a "guys night out" than a first date, but wrestling fans are sure to enjoy Stars of Wrestling featuring Jason Styles, Shane Kody, Super Diablo and many others. Actor Martin Klebba from Pirates of the Caribbean will be special guest ring announcer.
Price: $14-$25

Where/When: Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Bunjo's Comedy Lounge in Dublin
Why Go: "Go local" and head to Bunjo's for a good laugh. You'll see some of the Bay Area's biggest comedians, including Amir Malekpour, Dave Salisbury, Jim Kruder and Myk Powell.
Price:  $10

5. Earth Day at Wente Vineyards
Where/When: Sunday from 1 -5 p.m. at Wente Vineyards in Livermore
Why Go: Enjoy wine, food, sustainable walking tours and live music during Celebrate the Earth Day at Wente Vineyards. Adults can taste wines from Wente Vineyards, Tamas Estates and Murrieta's Well while kids can make jewelry from recycled products and learn about worm composting. Click on the link above for details.
Price:  $15 for wine tasting passes, or $10 for club members of Wente Vineyards, Murrieta’s Well and Tamas Estates

Out of Town Pick: 

Love gourmet chocolate? Then head to the Fort Mason Center on Sunday for the 5th Annual San Francisco International Chocolate Salon. The event features more than 50 master chocolatiers, confectioners, wineries and culinary artisans such as Guittard Chocolate Company, Amano Artisan Chocolate, Seattle Chocolate Company, Goat Milk Candy Company, Punk Dog Wines, R&B Cellars and Rock Wall Wine. Tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door for adults and $10 for children ages 6  to 12 (under 6 are free). Click here for tickets and details.
