9:53 a.m. update

Here's information provided by Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Battalion Chief Jack Neiman-Kimel:

The initial alarm sent three engines, one truck and a Battalion Chief.  On arrival of the first engine there was a fire coming from the back of the house.  On further investigation there was a large debris pile in the backyard that was on fire.  The fire was lapping against the house.  The fire was knocked down quickly and the interior of the structure was checked for extension of fire.  No extension was found.  The backyard area was overhauled and all crews released.  It is unknown what started the fire.  There were no fire or civilian injuries.
