Michael Brown has been reunited around 5 p.m. this evening with his 7-year-old dog, Lexus, which had been stolen last week.

Nick Peebs, Brown's friend, wrote, via email:
"I just wanted to let you know Lexus was just returned to Mike a few minutes ago! I wanted to say thank you so very much for taking the time to help us get her back home where she belongs."
Lexus had been stolen on Feb. 26 from in front of the Safeway where she was tied while Brown was inside the store.
Brown reported earlier in the afternoon that the Livermore Police Department was helping to find Lexus by contacting a woman who may have known the location of the dog.
