Collision Brings Down Power Lines North of Livermore

Area expected to be out of electricity until early Friday.

Power lines came down in eastern Alameda County north of Livermore Thursday evening when a car struck a pole there, according to the California
Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported at 6:36 p.m. near the intersection of Carneal and Manning roads, the CHP said.

There were minor injuries in the collision, and power lines came down causing an outage in the area, according to the CHP.

The outage affected 18 customers, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said. Their power is expected to be out until early Friday morning.
