The restaurant phone recording says they will be back in business on April 1
Livermore residents will be happy to know that the Strings Italian Cafe will be reopen for business on April 1. The cafe has been closed for repairs and renovation since the beginning of January, after an SUV crashed through the restaurant.

The collision happened just before 1 p.m. on Jan. 7, after the driver of a parked vehicle in front of the restaurant apparently confused the pedals on the SUV, according to police officials.
There was no answer at the restaurant but the phone recording on the voicemail said that the cafe's "targeted opening date is Monday, April 1."
