The San Ramon-based company, which operates from Lafayette through Livermore, will donate one percent of sales from 680 IPA to local educational foundations in the specific area in which the beer is sold.

“We’re very excited to introduce 680 IPA as a great representative of the versatile beers we brew,” said Mike Johannsen, Chief Brewing Officer for Schubros Brewery. “Like your typical IPA, 680 holds up to spices and cuts through the fats of a pizza or Tikka Masala. But this IPA is unique because of its balance. It doesn’t overwhelm subtle flavors or wipe out your palate like many other beers — 680 was designed to pair with food not cover it up.”

“Our goal at Schubros is to bring our area a truly different beer experience,” said Ian Schuster, president of Schubros Brewery. “680 IPA does just that, disrupting traditional IPA taste profiles. All our beers are made to be good stand alone drinks, but they’re also crafted for an occasion. Couple them with the right food -- serve them at the right temperature and in the right glass — and the enjoyment is many times greater.”

“I should also add that we’ve dedicated this beer to celebrating what sets our neighborhoods along the 680 corridor apart, hence the name,” continued Schuster.
