I recently walked into Roadside Relics on 2nd Street in Downtown Livermore and this item quickly caught my eye.
I won't try and describe the clock (you can see it above), and the owner Carrina Male wasn't sure what sort of metal was used to sculpt it.
What is clear is that it's not the original. Austrian sculptor Arthur Waagen made a sculpture similar to this in the 1800s. The one at Roadside Relics is signed by Maagden, not Waagen. If it was a Waagen, it would cost thousands.
The clock works and the saying "Time is Money" can be seen below the clock.
So how much do you think the clock costs? What would you be willing to pay for it? Let us know in the comments section.
