Guy Fieri's Saturday Night in the Tri-Valley

The celebrity chef was in town to promote his book. See any Fieri fans that you recognize in these photos?

Hundreds of Guy Fieri fans from all over the East Bay flocked to the Johnny Garlic's restaurant in Dublin on Saturday afternoon for a chance to get an autograph and photo with the celebrity chef.

Amature chefs, professional bakers, foodies, kids, and even Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti stopped by to spend some time with Fieri. 

Fieri, who lives in Santa Rosa, was at the East Bay restaurant promoting his most recent book, "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives— The Funky Finds in Finds in Flavortown."

The chef, restaurateur, author, father and television show host extraordinaire signed books and a few t-shirts and shoes of fans for over two hours, while chatting with each of the several hundred people who turned out for the event.

Johnny Garlic's has been in Dublin for about two years.

Earlier in October, a Johnny Garlic's fan created an elaborate marriage proposal consisting of a scavenger hunt that ended at the restaurant. Mark King of Livermore proposed to Mia McGhie in front of the restaurant  In case you are wondering, she said yes.
