Best of Livermore Patch: Where is Your Go-To Place to Get a Sandwich? (POLL HAS ENDED)

You get to pick: Where is the best place in Livermore to pick up a sandwich?

OK, folks.

There are many great places to grab a sandwich in town, but if you can only choose one where would you go?

Choosing on my end is tough. From the healthy options at to the stacked "Grandma Fanny" at downtown's — I love 'em all!

Shoot. Even the Safeway deli is a go-to option for me.

But if the comments on our Facebook page is any indication, the rest of the sandwich shops in town may have to chase for the top slot.

Vote for your favorite in the poll below: , , , , , , or .

Click on the links above and rate the business on its Patch Place listing. You can even leave a review.

If there is another local spot that we missed, tell us in the comments section below. In the event of a tie, we will break it based on the comments, so please explain your choice. Voting ends at 9 a.m. Friday.

If you know of a yummy place nearby, you can vote for the Best Sandwich at Dublin Patch or Pleasanton Patch.

(Because our poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.)

Maggios should shut down.

Its all about Mr Pickles. The staff is great. They take pride in their custom creations and the old stand-bys are all top notch.

If you ever have Harry's Hoffbrau's Reuben, French Dip, or Turkey 'n Swiss.. you won't even consider the others! What could be tastier than... cooked today and carved in front of you?? I come every Thu. night for the Corned beef and Cabbage Dinner and get a Reuben to go! Yummers!!!

Of the choices you've provided, I would have to go with Tommie's at the Library (I like Mr. Pickles, but Tommie's gets my vote) . . . but when I'm looking for a gyros (it's kind of a sandwich, isn't it???) I head out to Wise Guys by the Airport. Or maybe that's a different poll? Where to get the best gyros in the area . . . I only know of a couple places would love to hear where others go!

What about the Paninis and Pork Sliders at The WineMaker's Pour House?

Ofelia's is great! There is never a very long wait, and the ingredients are so, so fresh. I think she bakes that super yummy and healthy bread every morning, tastes like a delicous honey wheat. The cucumbers and sprouts are what sets them apart, and best of all - there is a LOT of variety for the health conscious folks - love it!

I've always wanted to try them, but whenever I go, they are closed! Like at 3pm on a Sunday. They seem to keep strange hours.

Tommy's and Noah's bagel r good

Mr. Pickles is great for downtown, but they're always slammed at lunchtime. Love their baja sauce on a turkey sandwich. Ofelias is a lighter, very yummy sandwich with her fresh-baked bread each day. She's more out of the way, so harder for a quick lunch downtown.

simply greek in pleasanton is the best gyro in the valley, imo!

The sandwiches at Mr. Pickles are wonderful, and the staff is always pleasant. It's always a treat to get the freshly-baked cookie as a bonus. I'd like to see another Mr. Pickles in Livermore. We can definitely sustain two locations.

I love Mr. Pickles, but sometimes the long line is too much to handle. But now, I think I need a fix!

I have never tried downtown's Maggios Italian Deli & Bakery — I would really like to do but seeing their staff smoking outside their store turns me off. Mr. Pickles is the best!

The Hofbrau has real turkey sandwhiches, not the processed stuff. Mr. Pickles chicken w/ avocado is awesome. Wish Me and My Friends Deli Cafe from Pleasanton would open a location in Livermore. Best fresh roasted turkey sandwhiches anywhere!

Mr. Pickles hands down. 1. Friendly staff 2. Awesome sandwiches. 3. The cookie is a wonderful touch. 4. They give stamp cards so they reward patronage.

@Kelly. Call ahead and no wait. Works great.

Safeway, cheap and makes a sandwich like all the other places but not the premium of being a small store. Gas is hitting my wallet so cheaper is better
