Neighborhood Watch Meeting Set in Response to Walnut Street Shooting

Mayor John Marchand is inviting all Walnut Street-area residents to a neighborhood meeting in response to a that rocked the north Livermore community on Easter Day.
Many residents expressed safety concerns in the . Several Walnut Street-area residents discussed possibly banding together and forming a Neighborhood Watch group.
"A lot of people expressed their concerns in their Patch posts, but no one took the initiative to call a time and a place for the meeting," Marchand said. "I saw this as an opportunity to bring the neighborhood together to work together."

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the on Pacific Avenue.
