Information from the Livermore Police Department--

The Livermore Police Department's Special Operations Unit (SOU) conducted an investigation into alleged drug sales at 1734 Hollyhock Street in Livermore.

During the investigation, a search warrant was issued for the residence. On Wednesday, June 19, 2013, officers from the Special Operations Unit (SOU) and Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) served the search warrant. Eight individuals were detained in connection with the service of the search warrant.

The detentions occurred at both 1734 Hollyhock Street and in the area of Springtown Boulevard and Bluebell Drive. The subjects detained and arrested at Springtown Boulevard and Bluebell Drive were seen leaving the residence just prior to the execution of the search warrant.

Based on the evidence recovered, the eight individuals were arrested for various Health and Safety Code violations including possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Evidence showed that Daniel Vierra was a resident at 1734 Hollyhock Street and was openly maintaining the residence for the purpose of unlawfully selling and furnishing controlled substances.

Vierra was subsequently arrested for maintaining a drug house. Vierra and the other seven individuals who were arrested were all booked into the Santa Rita County Jail.
