Frères (Brothers)  7:30 p.m.

Switzerland/Israel, 2010, 116 minutes, Hebrew/English with subtitles
Conflict arises between two estranged brothers—one an observant Jew and one a kibbutznik who scorns religion. The legal battle in which they engage is reflective of a society torn between its religious and political principles and centers on whether Orthodox yeshiva students should be exempt from military service. This thought-provoking drama stirs the debate between separation of state and religion in Israel.
