California Writers Club Tri-Valley Branch May Lunch Program

No Plot? No Problem!  CWC TVB has invited Chris Baty, founder of National Novel Writers Month and Executive Director of its parent nonprofit, Office of Letters and Light, to speak at its May meeting.  All writers are invited to learn more about their craft at this luncheon. Baty, a freelance contributor to the Washington Post, the Believer, and Lonely Planet guidebooks, and author of the book No Plot? No Problem!, originated NaNoWri Mo, a yearly November challenge to write one 50,000-word novel from scratch, in a month's time.  In 2010, 200,000 participants joined it from around the world.  Sara Gruen wrote the first draft of her award-winning best-seller, Water for Elephants, during a past NaNoWriMo.  Call or email by May 18 to reserve your seat.
