What Should Replace KFC on L Street?

Have any suggestions on what should replace the downtown KFC?

Location: 50 South L Street, downtown Livermore.

What business would you like to see move in? Is there something lacking downtown? Let us know in the comments section.

Why would we want a Dunkin Donuts right next to Donut Wheel? To put them out of business?

Becky, Try to keep up. Responses above about the why. What is your suggestion for a replacement business? Drive through Muffler shop!

I agree Becky, that's a stupid idea. A high end market would be nice. Something unique and not a franchise type place would be what I woud prefer.

Veggie Grill in Livermore would be great. The only location currently in Northern California is in San Jose.

NO REGIONAL THEATER. Livermore says NO to spending its tax dollars on this private venture

Boston Market or Sweet Tomatoes

I'm with you Cindy !

Livermore needs a high end restaurant run by an accomplished chef. Yauntville style restaurants would really help Livermore.
Analisa February 20, 2013 at 06:53 PM
How about a real restaurant. No fast food or chain ones.

Chipotle or Del Taco!

I would never want to put a local small business out of businees but a drive through Dunkin Donuts would be PERFECT! Nothing beats a cup of hot or iced DD coffee in the morning!
Justine Jarvis February 27, 2013 at 11:40 PM
Pita Pit, Chipolte, or Sonic would be my personal choice but like a few people mentioned its not our choice..... Chevys should become an Olive Garden!! yumm

Yes, El Pollo Loco is my vote!

A smoothie (healthy kind with real veggies) bar and vegetable/fruit juicer bar with a drive through. Hot soups on the go. (black bean soup) Something healthy . We need more healthy choices. I hate wandering around in my car wishing I could quickly get something thats good for me. There's definitely an open market.
Livermoronian March 08, 2013 at 11:41 PM
Organic stuff...lots of vegetarian choices. Avocado and sprouts and tomato, onion, creme cheese, sandwiches on homemade multi grain breads. ...and meat ones too.

We already have WAY too many Starbucks and Subways . I'd love to see a Fazoli's open up, but they haven't expanded to the west coast. I'd love to see a Chick-Fil-A. The one they opened in Walnut Creek is doing huge business. Other good ideas are Boston Market or Sbarro. Most everything else people have mentioned already have locations that are a fairly close drive away.
Bethie Anne Lear VanderYacht April 29, 2013 at 08:29 PM
I would not want a Chick Fil-A. Although they would be closed Sundays, and therefore not disturb the Farmer's Market, they are run by bigots. The others that have opened recently in the Bay have been picketed and frankly, I live in the vicinity and would rather not have to deal with fights between the "God Hates Fags" crowd that hangs in front of Panama and the soap-boxers who think picketing a National chain is going to help anything.
Cindy Eckel April 29, 2013 at 09:22 PM
A drive through Dunkin Donuts!
Becky April 29, 2013 at 11:18 PM
I don't like how Chick Fil-A refuses to spell fillet corretly. For that, I think they're anti-French as well as anti-gay.
George S April 29, 2013 at 11:42 PM
GOD BLESS Chicken-Fillet. Anti-French and Anti-Gay is OK in my book! Don't push your values on me is their slogan
Becky April 30, 2013 at 03:26 AM
I agree with you too, George S. "Don't push your values on me." That's why I don't like a chicken fryer taking a stand on topical issues. I hate it more than celebrities taking a stand on politics. What credentials do they have to speak with any authority? They're just using their fame as a soapbox to spout their own thing.

I heard that the old Chevy's is going to be a Panera Bread.
Livermoronian May 02, 2013 at 03:37 PM
I really miss Sizzler's...I don't think it would fit in there though. Would love to see one come back to Livermore. They had the best salad bar.
Livermoronian May 02, 2013 at 03:39 PM
Something with healthy choices. Salad Makers by the Target is doing huge business with returning customers. Man, I want a Greek or Brentwood house salad right now...mmmm

With avacado
