Week Ahead: Polar Bear Slide; Steppin' Up Dance Benefit; Team Delaney Blood Drive

Things to do around Livermore this week: Dec. 30 to Jan. 5.

Monday, Dec. 30

  • Livermorium Public Art Project. City invites a visual artist or artist teams to submit qualifications to develop a site-integrated public art project to be permanently located at Livermorium Plaza at Mills Square Park in our downtown. Application deadline is Jan. 27 at 5 p.m.  
Tuesday, Dec. 31
  • The Library is closed for New Year's Eve
  • Team Delaney Blood Drive. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 1501 Hillcrest Ave, Livermore / Gymnasium. Please come out and support Delaney and others like her in their need for blood donations. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 1
  • The Library is closed for New Year's Day. 
Thursday, Jan. 2
  • Bingo Schmingo. Civic Center Library Storytime Room. 10:30 a.m. Sing along, dance along, bounce along, and rhyme along. For kids.
Friday, Jan. 3
Saturday, Jan. 4
  • Polar Bear Slide  Livermore Area Recreation & Park District (LARPD). Participants brave cold weather and slide down the 22-foot spiral waterslide.
  • Steppin Up: All 4 One Cause. Bankhead Theater, Livermore. 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. A benefit for Sleep Train Foster Care children and families, Steppin’ Up is a spectacular showcase of all types of dance styles.
