Patch Picks: Pack a Picnic for a Spring Excursion

With some extra planning you can be sure your picnic will be fun and you'll create some great memories.

If you like to picnic accompanied by music, spread a picnic blanket and lay out a lavish meal or just something simple when you attend Concert in the Park at Lions Wayside Park, 4401 First St. at Neal St., Pleasanton. Magic Moments — 50s, 60s, 70s, and The Legends of Early Rock — will be performing at Concert in the Park 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 3. Admission is Free.  The City of Dublin’s Emerald Glen Park Group Picnic Area is the perfect place for a picnic. Facilities border Tassajara Creek and while group picnickers are asked to reserve an area, most picnic spots are on a first come, first served basis. Call 925-556-4500 for more information.

Picnic at Sunol Regional Wilderness, 1895 Geary Road, Sunol. Picnic sites and barbecue pits are provided along Alameda Creek.
