Memorial Stone for Boy Killed Skate Boarding is Stolen

The mother of a boy killed in a skate boarding accident in 2012 posted on Patch Wednesday that someone has stolen a memorial stone dedicated to her son.

The memorial, with an angel sitting on top, read: "You will never be forgotten, for though we are apart, you are always and forever, alive within my heart." It had been placed near the intersection where Nathan Strube, 13, was killed when he collided with a truck on his skate board.

His mother Katie Strube is handling the theft with grace and wrote on Patch that she hopes that if the person who took the angel is suffering from grief that having it will give them comfort.
