Memorial Fund Created in Honor of EMT Killed in I-580 Collision
The donations will go to Reed Whittaker's family to pay for a memorial or be donated to a charity of their choosing.
Friends of Reed Whittaker, 29, have started a fundraising campaign to raise money for the family of the EMT who was killed on Dec. 12 after his Jeep Cherokee was struck from behind by a Hummer.
According to the Reed Whittaker Memorial page, over $3800 has been raised so far.
Many from around the Bay Area and in the EMT community have mourned the loss of Whittaker by posting their thoughts online.

Whittaker was an EMT and a supervisor for Royal Ambulance in San Leandro who graduated from the Chabot College Fire Technology program.
