A Livermore group won the 50th Hayward Battle of the Bands competition, according to a report.

The Growing Room, of Livermore, beat out nine other groups to win the 50th Hayward Battle of the Bands, held Saturday at Chabot College.
Zephyr, of Lathrop, took second, and Gypsy Flight, of San Ramon, placed third in the competition, which may be the longest continuously running Battle of the Bands.
