'Impeach Obama' Movement Makes a Stop in Livermore

By Autumn Johnson

It is not every day that you see a giant photo of President Obama sporting a Hitler-esque mustache while driving down the streets of Livermore. Today, drivers and pedestrians driving through downtown near First Street and Livermore Avenue likely saw the attention-grabbing photo, along with a table stocked with information about the LaRouche Political Action Committee, and wondered what it was all about.

Scott Gardener, 32, of San Francisco, was staffing the table as a representative of the political group "LaRouche Political Action Committee" and told Patch, "Obama could not be impeached fast enough."

Gardener says the group makes stops throughout the Bay Area raising awareness and funds to try to remove Obama from office and make changes to the laws governing banking.

According to Gardener, who equates the financial calamity which recently occurred in Cypress as being the potential fate of the United States, by reenacting the Glass Steagall Act originally put into place by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1933, Americans will be financially better protected.

"The Dodd-Frank act needs to be killed," Gardener commented.

The Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 or "Dodd-Frank Bill" was signed into law by President Obama.

"The Glass Steagall Act was put in place by FDR and was taken [out] in 1999," Gardener said. "It is a basis for protecting our commercial banks and investment banks, which are gambling with our money."

Do you agree with what Gardener and the LaRouche Political Action Committee are doing? Do you think Obama should be impeached?
