Great Escape: Safari in the Heart of California’s Wine Country

The Safari West Wildlife Preserve and African Tent Camp, 3115 Porter Creek Road, Santa Rosa is a 400-acre magical place with the sights and sounds of the Serengeti.  Couples or the whole family can experience nature’s most beautiful animals in their natural habitat, at this wildlife preserve committed to preservation through education, research and public collaboration. 

Safari West offers safaris year round so visitors can gaze at the giraffes, get a glimpse of animals, and catch a close look at birds in the open-air aviary. Wildlife tour schedules are at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and are dependent upon availability.
