Great Escape: A Night Away Along a Wine Trail

Experience an urban wine-tasting getaway.

Travel along the East Bay Wine Trail on Saturday, when 21 award-winning urban wineries will pour their wares at six locations. Paired with appetizers, you can experience the growing trend of a wine-tasting trip — in town.

East Bay Vintner’s Alliance (EBVA), at 55 4th St., in Oakland, is holding its fourth annual “Passport to the East Bay Wine Trail” event noon to 5 p.m. The event includes a souvenir wine glass and samples of cabernet sauvignon, merlot and pinot moir, tempranillo, touriga nacional and roussanne, as you wander the wine trail through Oakland and Alameda.

Visit Cerruti Cellars, Dashe Cellars and JC Cellars, Periscope Cellars at Linden Street Brewery, Rock Wall Wine Company, Rosenblum Cellars and Urban Legend.
