Family and friends will gather Wednesday to celebrate the life of Nathan Strube, a 13-year-old who was killed in a skateboarding accident in May 2012.

The one-year death anniversary of Nathan Strube will bring family and friends together Wednesday to celebrate the late 13-year-old's life.

People will begin meeting at 5 p.m. at the corner of Lomitas Avenue and Kara Place, near Concannon Boulevard.

Nathan's mother, Katie, said she will release balloons during the tribute at 5:15 p.m. "to celebrate my brilliant, kind, funny boy's beautiful life."
