Why Livermore is a Leader in Energy Efficiency in the Tri-Valley

Livermore has always been a leader in technology and innovation. I mean, we are home to Sandia National Laboratories AND Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. But does this also explain why we are so ahead in energy efficiency? Pleasanton and Dublin are miles, years, and bounds BEHIND Livermore in this race. I wanted to call attention as to why this is the case.

First of all, the people of Livermore have a better attitude towards energy efficiency. We are so fortunate to have such active and environmentally and cost-efficient conscious residents here. They do what it takes to make things better. We don't settle with the status quo-it can always be better. We are also more hands-on to participate in the small things that make a difference.

Interestingly enough, I thought it to symbolize our past, present, and future (past=wind turbines, present =solar field, students = future). We invest so much time, effort, patience, and everything that embodies sustainability. People really give a darn about what is going on in their community!
