Eliminate Energy Waste at Home and Help Raise Money for Friends of the Dublin Library

The City of Dublin and Energy Upgrade California in Alameda County are close to reaching their next milestone in the Dublin Energy Challenge, and are asking local residents to help earn a $500 donation for Friends of the Dublin Library.

The Dublin Energy Challenge is a city-wide initiative encouraging residents to monitor and evaluate energy usage while giving back to the local community. Through January 31, Dublin residents who want to eliminate energy waste in their homes can sign up for the free Home Energy Analyzer to help raise money for Friends of the Dublin Library.

So far, 90 residents have signed up for the Home Energy Analyzer, resulting in a $150 donation, and 60 more signups are needed  by January 31 to bring the total donation to $500.

Residents are also eligible to receive a $25 gift card to local hardware stores through random monthly drawings once they sign up for the Home Energy Analyzer. The online tool uses PG&E smart meter data to give you insight into how your home is using energy and suggests simple changes to reduce energy waste.
