Clean Water Program Seeking Proposals for Anti-Litter School Outreach

The Clean Water Program Alameda County is inviting proposals from for-profit, non-profit and governmental organizations for school outreach projects designed to help K-12 students and teachers understand the connection between storm drains and local creeks, wetlands and the Bay, and to encourage pollution prevention, with an emphasis on litter reduction. Besides raising awareness, projects should reduce the littering behavior of students and the amount of litter on and around K-12 school campuses. School programs as well as after-school activities are eligible.
