... If you have any free time this weekend and would like to come out and help us build the set for the production we could REALLY use your help. Even if you only have an hour or two to spare it would be greatly appreciated. We only have 1 more week of construction before the buildings are transported to the production location. We need help with everything from building to painting - no experience necessary. Please show up in grungy clothes and comfortable shoes to 3246 Marina Ave. in Livermore (cross street Arroyo Road). Thank you so much for your support.
SAVE THE DATE: DEC 13-17 ... Go back in time and walk through a 30,000 sq replica of the village of Bethlehem over 2000 years ago to remember the true meaning of Christmas. This inter-active live theatre production with over 100 actors present scenes from the story of the Nativity and the birth of Jesus Christ. You will enter the town square to find market stalls where period methods of pottery making, basket weaving and other skills are demonstrated. Ushered in by Roman Soldiers Mary and Joseph enter the town on a live donkey searching for a room. Meanwhile Magi sing and dance when, from the rooftop, the Angel Gabriel appears before the Shepherds and announces the arrival of the new-born son of God. As Balthazar rides atop a live camel they all proceed to the stable for the finale where everyone rejoices in our Lord’s birth and a choral finale is sung by the St. Michaels Choir. The production is inter-faith, free to the public, starts at 6:30p and repeats every thirty minutes for 5 nights from December 13 through 17. The event is adjacent to St. Michaels School (across from Fr. Monsignor Adams Park) at 345 Church Street Livermore.
