Crime & Safety

Police Log: Robberies; Auto Thefts; Intruders Strip House

Notable incidents encountered March 17 to 24.

While a Livermore man and his children were spending an hour at a nearby park on a Saturday, burglars broke into their home, making off with nearly $100,000 of goods, including a 150-pound safe, a flat-screen TV they ripped from the wall and Muhammad Ali-signed boxing gloves.

Another speedy, costly break-in was reported by a Pleasanton family last week. Details here: Were Victims' Own Crowbar and Pillowcases Used in Their $36K Home Break-in?
