Police Investigating Death at Church Parking Lot

A woman was found deceased inside a recreational vehicle parked at the Vineyard Church lot off North Livermore Avenue.

A woman was found dead Tuesday morning inside a recreational vehicle parked at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship lot off North Livermore Avenue, near Park Street, authorities said.

Police are investigating the death and said there were no obvious signs of trauma or suspicious activity related to the incident.

Emergency crews were sent to the area at 6:30 a.m. for a report of a woman not breathing. When authorities arrived on scene it was confirmed the woman was deceased, Livermore Police Sgt. Paul Mayer said.

An Alameda County coroners van arrived to the scene around 10 a.m. The coroners office will schedule an autopsy to determine the cause of death, police said.

Officials at this time are not releasing the woman's identity.

The church is home to programs that support the area's homeless by offering free hot meals, showers and clothing. During the cold winter nights, the church is one of several places in town homeless can find shelter overnight.
