Locals Splash Into the New Year
Park district's annual, chilly Polar Bear Slide held Saturday.
Livermore residents on Saturday splashed into the new year by sliding down the Robert Livermore Community Center's waterslide.
It was the sixth annual Polar Bear Slide event hosted by the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District. Each participant who braved the cold weather and took a dive down the 22-foot spiral waterslide received a certificate of completion.
