I have a soft spot for Jim Concannon. He is a really kind, charming man. A few years ago my son had a school project to research a local historical site, and he chose Concannon Vineyards. We were lucky enough to be directed to Jim on the day that we went to the winery. We had only hoped to ask a few questions of one of the employees, but Jim offered a full interview to my, then, 9 year old. We were invited into his office and he spent over an hour telling stories about the history of the vineyard, the winery and his family. He let my child pepper him with questions, and was more gracious than we had any reason expect. Upon leaving, Jim made a gift, to my son, of a copy of the lovely hard cover book shown in this interview. He autographed it for him, as well. Mr. Concannon is a is good man.

Great interview Monique! I love Michael Murphy's comment. Not surprising after hearing the interview. He seems like a very genuine man who loves the Livermore Valley.
