$2,000 Reward Offered for Arrest of Suspects Who Attacked Officer

Police continue to investigate an attack early Friday that sent an officer to a hospital after he was struck in the head by chunks of concrete and rocks.

A reward is now being offered for the arrest of the suspects who injured an officer early Friday.

The Livermore Police Officer's Association posted the following on our Facebook page:

The City of Livermore and the Livermore Police Officer's Association are offering a $2,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for attacking our officer last night. Please spread the word.

The officer suffered injuries to his head after several people threw rocks and chunks of concrete at him early Friday. For further details, view our report here.

The LPOA also provided the following update on the injured officer via their Facebook page:

Our Officer is doing as well as can be expected. He is at now at home recovering from his injuries. He will be out for a few days, but should be returning to work within the next two weeks. A reward has been posted by the City and the LPOA for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.

On behalf of the Livermore Police Officer's Assocation, I want to thank you all for your overwhelming support. We are truly grateful!

I'm sure we will find the punks that attacked your officer! He was just doing his job, and for that he got attacked! I'm so glad he will be back on the job soon! Speedy recovery!

Roughly 25 years ago someone threw a rock off that same bridge and right into our windshield below. Couldn't see who did it.

We hope the officer recovers quickly.

I can't believe that somebody could be that ruthless. I wonder if they were setting up the officer or just some random person who happened by? It absolutely sickens me that somebody planned that attack.

Thank you LPD for doing your jobs to keep us safe. I hope you catch them, soon!

Livermore isn't paying the reward...the LPOA is. Livermore only takes from the cops, they don't give. And how exactly do Livermore Cops act???
